The darkness of the night,
overtakes my soul.
The creatures seem to lurk about
ready any minute to overtake me.
So quickly they come,
They walk down the halls
but when you turn to see whose there
you see nothing.
If only the lights were on maybe
you would not see these shadows
that overtake the night.
The ever drawing forces that seem
to take shape that gather round
to have a meeting.
To torment your soul in the darkness.
The over bearing silence lurks.
The darkness is as black as the bottomless
pit.
It goes on forever and will not end.
The loudness of the objects or things
that seem to want to envade your hallways.
The images that keep popping in your mind.
If only daylight would come.
I would be able to sleep.
Without the monsters that inhabit every room.
They once just walked through the halls
now they wander everywhere I go.
Silent but close by,
will this one that is called upon me ever
leave me alone.
My  heart beats so fast I can hardly breath.
The darkness seems to wrap me tight in the blankets of blackness.
As something seems to be so close I can feel the
touch of the fingers of death.
They touch me ever lightly in the night.
Now my eyes are open and I can see once again.
For light has come in the window.
Today I have been released once again.
Yet tonight comes again.
Oh if I could only awake without them here.
The insomnia seems even worse as each day goes by
more creatures visit me.
More meetings they have
They want me to join.
How long can I refuse.
How long?
