*Memories *
     Things from the past
*Special times*
     That did not last.

* Tokens *
     Of a time before
On the other side
     Of a closed door.

* Keepsakes *
     That no longer bind
To our lovers
     So unkind.

* Charms *
     To wear around our wrists
Reasons lost
     in a closed fist.

* Little notes *
      * Old photographs *
Now become  *Objects*
      Of bitter laughs.

* Old Love letters *
      * A pressed rose *
The tears fill your eyes
      Then overflows.

All * Momento’s *
      Of a love so true
Go up in flames
      In front of you.

What a bittersweet poem, very well written, and unique, with a great format!

Take care,

What a great READ MagnoliaBlue - enjoyed
this  - though the subject sad, you have
handled this torment well, writing simple
pain of loss wonderfully.

 Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme,
They are not measured by the commitment of time.
Some emotions run too deep to be described by words,
Forgiveness and understanding-remain the most beautiful words ever heard.

MB, very nice writing!  We all have those "tokens" from lovers past!
~~I liked the creativity and style of this~~
