He was but a mortal man,
...who touched upon a star,
Who came to him in still of night,
...and carried him afar.

Beyond the mountain's snowcapped peak,
...rushing crystal streams,
Beyond Polaris and his minions,
...unto the land of Dreams.

Where he held her in his arms,
...touched upon silk skin,
Felt the warmth of her desire,
...welling from within.

Sweet tender lips in passion pressed,
...meld in warm embrace,
Breeched stone walls of heart's escarp,
...Urania's heavenly grace.

His eyes drank of her loveliness,
...soft touch of supple limb,
Caressed the smoothness of her face,
...angelic seraphim.

Once upon a memory,
...he gazed into her eyes,
Once upon a midnight dream,
...he touched upon the skies.

The universe is a sensual and magical place,
that was beautiful.

He was but a mortal man,
...who touched upon a star,

His eyes drank of her loveliness,
...soft touch of supple limb,
Caressed the smoothness of her face,
...angelic seraphim.

Mike~
This quilling is breathtaking beyond compare.
Drawn from the inkwell of a classic poet,
greatly admired in this circle.
Your talent is enviable.
Oh .. I like it !

Denise, thank you for the "I love it"...
Mr. Madden, appreciate the gracious response.
Martie, I'll send up a flare... the second constellation from the right... I will savor the sigh.
Marge... flattery will get you everywhere...
hehe...  seriously, glad you liked the poem.
Meadowmuse, Oh my...?  smiling here, even Kansas farm boys can dream every once in a while.
