Brushed by feather
(eagles' wing)
this night--an omen in the sky.
A candle--red--a puddle now
(I light the blue one in its stead.)
Scorpio Moon is on the rise,
and I'm amazed my cheeks are dry.

No mystery do I ponder
(even Goddess sleeps tonight)
shadows of this lunacy
twisting words in eagle's flight.

Transformation
holds my gaze
(with no regret for sting of tail)
Penning words by candlelight
I'll be content to know each night...
this dreaded orb is on the wane.

Good stuff. you aren't by any chance wiccan are ya? i am, and this made me think it was half poem, half prayer. it's real good; real descriptive. you've got a good talent for imagery. i dig it. and the part:
"and I'm amazed my cheeks are dry."
very mysterious. something hiding in the wings. like i said, i dig it.

That in an art gallery is left hanging,
Though many come just to look at it,
A very few actually come to enjoy it.

"solitary-eclectic"...I like that.     I do have to agree with Ethan: "and I'm amazed my cheeks are dry" is indeed an amazing line. Your poetry speaks volumes; I, too, have known nights like this. Beautiful poem.
