So many thoughts running through my head
As I lay here tonight stretched out on my bed
No idea what the future will hold
Time will tell or so I am told

Somehow through the course of the night
The dark will evolve into the brightest of lights
Sunshine everywhere will abound
A hope for the future may have been found

Right now this is my chance to dream
I imagine two lovers kissing by a stream
The water flows by cool and fast
Both of them hoping this moment will last

I smile up at the moon in the sky
No one can tell me how or why
I know he could make my heart once again sing
Just waiting for tomorrow and what it will bring

You reminded me of my girlfriend of many years ago just before she moved away we spent one last day together and we we lying on a hill holding each other and looking into each others eyes and looking into the beautiful blue sky and it was a moment that did last.  I still have the picture we took together when I took her to her senior prom.   James

Lone Wolf,
I'm new here so I'm out and about reading different poems... I'm very glad I stumbled across this poem! It's truely beautiful and so full of imagery, and inspiration! It's nice to hear words that flow from dreams and hope... to give hope to another.
keep up the great work~
