The Rose of my Eye
~~^~~~^~~~^~~

Strolling  through  gardens  of  roses  so  fair
thoughts  drifting
sweet  essence  enchanting  the  air
The  colors  and  hues  all  pleasing  to  eye
each  petal  a  picture
make  breathing  a  sigh
The  trickle  of  water
to  pool  crystal  clear
the  frolic  of  birds
with  nothing  to  fear
A  moss  covered  bridge  o'er  meandering  brook
'neath  flowering  tree
finds  you  lost  in  a  book
My  silent  approach  brings  sparkle  to  eyes
your  lips  gently  curl
with  pleasant  surprise
There  in  my  hand  knelt  down  at  your  side
a  ring
made  with  diamond
for  the  'Rose  of  my  eye'
~~~
'Whistle' . That has got to be the sweetest thing I've ever read . Aimed at anyone in perticular ? Only that had to have come straight from the heart . Truly beutiful . I enjoyed reading it, it is the best poem I've read for weeks . Keep the poems coming and I'll read them .
Shucks ... that's just the sweetest thing I've read tonight.
You've taken us on a romantic tour of your heart.
Real pleasurable.
Rex, you ought to show this side more often! This was perfection! What a picture you've given me to look at. I shall keep this in my mind's eye.
Wondeful poem, for me... roses are the true vision of love...
