The Sage

Once in a lifetime we meet someone,
with luck it may happen twice,
with charisma as karmic as the sun,
influentially ferrying advice.

He has no personal gain in mind,
speaks to synapses of your core,
at times the prose is all but kind,
for this you love him even more.

A swift kick in the bum one day,
sweet kiss of harmony the next,
caught betwixt go away and stay,
Juxtaposed edges of love and sex.

Call upon his spirit now and then,
even though hes gone from view,
hes waiting for you beyond the glen,
in that place between old and new.

2000 Corinne Bailey

Lovely poem, the way I'm feeling at the moment to fall in love isn't difficult, the difficult part is geting loved back in return . This poem has depth, passion and rythem . Keep up the good work .

Corinne, an unusual chap this Sage, kicking and then sweet harmony, kinky "S&M". Such open mindedness, its shocking I tell you, innocent little minds like mine can't be reading this stuff. Oh, I don't know what to say...
Well anyway, this poem is wonderful, and
Juxtaposed... I wouldn't have thought of using that word in a poem, but you sure do it well. It all sounds wonderful, your lucky sweet poet and twice even. Get ye to the glen, then,  a bard of unquestionable character awaits. Oh, don't forget your leathers....

Parker, funny, I've never thought of your mind as "innocent." - Thank you for the um, well, compliment?  LOL And, FYI - I don't own any leathers! Except one leather jacket, and it's tan in color, not exactly S&M stuff!

Balladeer, my sweet deer man, however did you know?

Lone Wolf - a very special one, he is!

Dave - many thanks.
