The treadmill of life .

It doesn’t matter where I go,
Or what I do or say,
I am always running on the spot,
Not moving on a day .
For every step I take,
The treadmill turns once more,
I never seem to strike it rich,
Life is such a chore .
It ain’t suppose to be this way,
Just getting nowhere fast,
I doesn’t matter what I try,
I’m always B****y last .
I’m always worst but never first,
It doesn’t balance out,
Now where’s my wins,
I’ve made few sins,
I want to punch and shout .

The story of a prisoner from conception, - I’m stuck in this rotten hole totally alone, misunderstood I sit on a cold stone floor, no perspective . Is this my home ? I don’t belong I don’t fit in, I’m just a waste of space, but in my time and in my place, I’m greatest of my race .

Written by Tom Baker .

Thanks Walt, I always knew that those whiskers were there for something, and people are always trying cruel experiments on me, you must be right, I am a rat . I now have to find a way out of that cage . But I am the best rat in the world though, something I can be proud of .

Oh my...there are many a day I can relate to this one. If life's a treadmill I've been on I think I've been running backwards for a number of years now

Wonderful poem, Tom. Life sure can seem like that treadmill, I'm sure most people could relate to this.

Thank you very much, the fact that I am not alone gives me lots of confidence and makes me feel a little less lonely . I am glad that you enjoyed it .

Wonderful Poem, Tom - well written.
Sad, but good.

We all have our "ruts" the challenge is
to find one.  Just one thing that you
can get out of -- then the next, then
the next.  And, get off that treadmill
and onto the races --)

I found this thought-provoking Tom ... many of us spin our wheels and seem to get nowhere fast some days ... you are not alone ...

Best wishes,
/Kit

This is very good, Tom, and it is nice to meet you. I hope that you can get off of that treadmill s-o-o-n!

And this I say to you: why? Why? Just tell me why, so I can understand. Why?

Bud - just want to let you know that it will all fade away with time.  Confidence is everyting, keep your head up & look forward - even if you can't see where you're going.

The tragedy of it is that nobody sees the look of desperation on my face. Thousands and thousands of us, and we're passing one another without a look of recognition.
