This started off so pretty ..

the edge of the cliff !

Lucky, you surely do know how to paint a picture...and the way you weave nature into your story..great! Loved the last line.

This is written beautifully, honey!  You inspired me.  Immediately, I had to write one about OUR past!  I just couldn't help myself.  Thanks for the inspiration!  I especially loved the first lines - "on the edge of October near the west end of autumn" - lovely.
