A pretty day
Is it not
How can there be
A despairing thought

Frivolous time
To sit and wonder
Somewhere else
Rain and thunder

Shelter for me
Food and clothing
Serendipity
Somebody’s loathing

Happenstance
Circumstance
We all are given
Half a chance

Die for me
Die for you
Rather you be
Gentile or Jew

There can be only one
The Highlander said
I say a good motto
But Jesus instead

Love me
Love you
Throw down the petals
And take in the view

War and Peace
Peace and War
Till God can’t
Take anymore

I love you all
I wave goodbye
There is a tear
In my eye

I’m not grand
I have my sins
Until tomorrow
When Christ descends

Good Night All
Sleep Well
Love Each Other
I Won’t Tell!!

Don't eat green bananas no more."
The sick little monkey groaned and said,
"But that's what I 1-2 the 3-4."

Walt~
You are so cute !

'Happenstance
Circumstance
We all are given
Half a chance'

Brother, half a chance is all I need !
I loved this little ditty.
I really like the title.

Shhhh !  You promised not to tell !

Excellent work here walt, I am sensing a real sadness in this poem, especially with the lines at the end of the first 4 stanzas, and the line "I wave goodbye" Oh, and I love the lines "Till God can’t Take anymore" Really powerful stuffs walt.

A clever title, great poem and good advice. I might just give it a try and descend into happiness.

You got some mighty profound words here Walt!
My favorite, it ranks WAY up there in my book.

I hate to see you sad, but I tell ya, you sure bring your emotions together with just the words! BRAVO!!!
