The Journey

We all begin a journey
From the moment we are born
And where this journey takes us
'Til the end remains unknown.

Though the path is not always easy
And the road may twist and turn
We must always face forward
And our many lessons learn.

The blessings in this journey
Are the friends that we will make
These are the most precious treasures
We should cherish day by day.

Those we hold dearest
To our hearts down life's road
Are the ones we can depend on
When we face the rain and cold.

Though the journey takes a lifetime
If we always give our best
And are surrounded by friends who love us
Then we have succeeded in our quest.

This is so well expressed and true.  And you know you have some of those friends here.

Good job!  I liked this one.

TerryW~

Take my hand and walk with me
along life's journeying road.
Give to me your burden
if it would lighten your load.

I am here beside you
each step of the way.
Take my hand, dear friend
we've not far to go today.

One day, one step, one friend
to join you in your quest.
Extend your hand to many
who will lead you to your best.

When you reach the end of the day
no sorrow knows your name,
if you have shared of yourself
when others have needed the same.

*Well, didn't you just inspire
my little muse ?
Love you

Very optimistic views on the long road of life, which at times can get you down. Great poem.
