The Cherub rolls his pearl eyes
waking her from the wardrobe door,
his angelic face brings sweet memories ...
drifting back into her mind
like so many times before.
He is as a faded photograph
from insomnia's edge blind,
she kisses him in the exposure
of where all lost loves are born.
Her love for him eternal,
outlasting sands of time, winds of change,
realms of space.
His touch ... her deliverance,
his kiss ... her saving grace.
Shadows drain his homogeneous flesh,
in low golden dove song he whispers,
"I love you, I will face GOD'S wrath,
be Heaven's fallen disgrace
and deny an eternity for one moment in your bliss".
She exists only to know his skin against hers,
no sacrifice too great, now on bended knee ...
she gives her self in offering.
She is his fate, he is her destiny.
Like Heaven and Earth,
Moon and Sun,
this between them is meant to be.
Celestial bodies consolidate as a single soul,
their skin glistening in Heavenly passion fire
with bodies writhing hypnotized by Hades desire.
Petals lay at their feet; the pistil
erupts on the serpent's toll.

Suns eclipse, stars align ...
love and lust to kiss and entwine.
In between Heaven and Hell ...
for just a taste, a soul to sell.
Equal to Earth and Sky,
this desire they shall not deny.
Her moral eyes pierce his wings of a dove,
The first snow of Calvary becomes washed with blood,
In ecstasy they radiate baptizing
pestilence with love.
Ten million souls rejoice from purgatory,
cleansed in a sensual flood.
Ashes to ashes, Dust to dust,
Saints and sinners, Love or Lust.
Angels sing, Holy Empyrean pray,
Immersed in surrender ...
Inhale as Heaven washes it all away.

Breath on breath slows to sigh,
she curls in his wings of tender embrace,
Traces of Heaven reflect in his pearl eyes.
From mortal coil they witness with grace,
redemption for the masses as Golgotha
rises from the ashes.
Baptized and bathed in sweet afterglow ...
he gazes into her luna lashed eyes of jade.
Finding his own reflection ... their undying love on display,
enchanted by her beauty, his own soul
he would now trade.
"Stay with me eternally, you seem too
beautiful to be
though in my soul I believe this is real.
Once you were but a forced dream
to chase away the solitude.
What God or grace has granted me my angel?
My true love no longer eludes".
By gift of fate or destiny,
this is now a Union of Bliss,
signed, sealed, and delivered ...
by love's sweet forgiving kiss.
In each other ... saving grace is finally found,
on a wing and prayer, this love will rise up ...
everlasting and heaven bound.

Seems like partnerships are the way to go...

This is exquisitely brilliant...

I am unable to say any more, since I am subdued to the brink of tight-lipped silence by the sheer beauty of this.

Regards, sudhir...

Though many come just to look at it,
A very few actually come to enjoy it.

Hey Brian...(poetic prophet) *smile*
the title you picked is perfect. I love it.
thanks for inviting me to do this, it was REALLY fun and very good for inspiration.
Also gave me a chance to get to know you better. Thanks for helping me strive to compete with your talents. Its a great way to grow as a poet.

Thank you Sudhir...your reply was MOST breathtaking...and appreciated.
After a reply like that I think its safe to say Brian and I compliment each other well poetically.

I hightly recomend trying this to any other poets out there..it is really a great learning experience and just plain fun.

You two, this is exquisite.  It is hard to know what to say - I'm left in such a mystic haze.  You have done a wonderful job together.  I look forward to another.

Wow - this is some heavy stuff --)

Amazing!
I see Brian's strong poetic style
and boldness and see JM's light fingered
rhyming talent  -- What a team!

*standing ovation*? have you ever had
one?  Well, you deserve one now.

Lori-thank you the exquisite...and we hope to do this again.

Swan- thank you...wow...my first standing ovation...Im humbled and smiling. thank you

someone Emailed me and asked was this hard to do..it was not at all...
Brian threw off an awesome first line and gave us the imagery and from there we just took turns-each writing a verse and sending it by Email back and forth. we wrote this in 2 days even with Brian being 5 hours of ahead of me in Ireland(how cool is that)
so its not hard to do or time consuming at all.
SO again I say ... try it.
Its really great for inspiration and it gives an opportunity for us to draw and learn from the other poets strengths as Swan pointed out she could see both of our writing styles.

thanks again for such glowing reviews,
jm

brian and Janet, this is some epic tale of passion and saving graces.  Should be made into a movie, must have a "R" rating though, too sensual to not release those bodies aglow in heavenly passion fire.
You two make a good team!  EXCELLENT writing from two talented wrtiers.
Back to the top this goes as if heaven bound.

Thanks to you guys for all your kind comments. Janet was great fun to write with, she really made me work. It is not easy trying to follow and compliment the beautiful and graceful images she produces.

Well Danny, we are in negotiations with Paramount at the moment, about turning our little poem into a feature epic. They want me to do a full frontal nude scene, I haven't decided yet though it all depends on how much they are willing to pay me.  lol
