Acceptance Gate

My sinking breath
my horrid song
my rhapsody
gone aimlessly wrong

My baffled feet
my folded arms
my withered eyes
hollow bitter charms

My fired thoughts
my frightened rage
my objectives
taunted in blind cage

My stormy mind
my half baked muse
my emotions
fight shorted out fuse

My distant goals
my wasted prize
my empty flesh
failing too disguise

My hindered soul
my lacking heart
my prolonged fears
piercing like a dart

My confined self
my empty plate
my friendly ghost
needs acceptance gate

Wow... this has some haunting phrases in here, Gloria... very interesting piece...

it's very depressing, tho.. sounds like you are releasing some negative emotions which shouldn't be there to begin with.

Very good, Gloria. We all need and want that acceptance. Without it we somehow feel an incompleteness. You've expressed that very well in this! You do know how to turn a phrase!

Doreen: Thank you for reading and responding, glad you found it interesting. I'd have to say you're very perceptive.

Denise: Thanks for reading and enjoying. Feeling lost and alone from what used too be really does twist the heartstrings, and the mind.
