Twinkle, twinkle
Star in the sky
How many more wishes
Will you deny?

I wished upon your twinkle
For many long years
And yet you grant me nothing
Except heart broken tears.

You say you forgot
Well let me remind you
It all started one night
At about one or two

I wished to find my soulmate
One for me alone
One tha's kind and gentle
Not with a heart of stone.

I want her to be loving
And with an angel's grace
I want her to show compassion
With every touch and embrace

What I ask is fairly simple
And I shall wish for nothing more
Just for her to be beside me
So I can love and adore

Twinkling star in the sky
A loving soulmate is all I miss
So now I send you
My dearest wish:

            Star light...Star bright...

                            Vphantom

--The face is the mirror of the mind and the eyes
confess the secrets of the heart.-- St. Jerome

Ah...soul mates...do they exist?  Are they under our noses and we are so busy searching that we don't see them?  I really felt your poem, in every word and thought.  Keep your soul alive in your journeys.

  Don't care what people say
Just follow your own way
Don't give up and use the chance
To return to innocence.

VPhantom~
I've been a 'star wisher' for many years ...
I like to think that the wishes find there way to another's heart.
Of course I've had a few that got lost in the time-warp ... but I just wish again.

I enjoyed your thoughts.
Hope your 'star' has a brand new twinkle.

This was a wonderful, and heartfelt piece.  I wish on stars a lot, and wishes don't always come true, but its the thought that truly counts.  HOpe your wish comes true.

Welcome to Passions!  I think you'll find we're all dreamers here - you will fit right in.  This is really beautiful and sweet.  I look forward to your others.
