Have you ever hoped for death?
Can that be taken lightly?
To heave sighs with every breath
And think upon it nightly

Tiz a mature wish to die?
Even child can hope to fade
He will blink one tired eye
And covenant he has made

Where does the desire begin?
Does it develop like a rose?
Is it enveloped in my sin?
Is it steeped in manic’s woes

Mark my words and cut a hole
Cut my heart with precision
Take a sample of my soul
Based on science your decision

Sow me up and make me right
Give me all your yellow pills
Shake your head with high delight
I’ll choke on them to cure my ills

WOW Walt......Its not normal to see such writing from you.  I hope you are well....There are some very strong statements in this and the feelings show through very clear.

A man does not love a woman because she is beautiful...But she is beautiful because he loves her.

Oooh, how could I pass up a dark one from walt? I love this walt, I really do. I love the introspective, yet satirical look at suicidal thoughts. The last stanza gives me a strong feeling of sarcasm. Superb work here walt

Walt, what a shocker coming from you! Tis dark indeed, but oh so well written.

Some good questions here...

Where does the desire begin?
Does it develop like a rose?
Is it enveloped in my sin?
Is it steeped in manic’s woes

Walt, I think you need to walk on the ground a bit, get stablized I fear for your sanity...LOL This is great writing and the thoughts are very interesting.

Curing all our ills is not always as easy as popping a few pills, is it? Interesting, thought provoking poem, Walt.
