Now that I have met your challenge..
"HIGHER GROUND"... www.mp3.com/kaylynn

I have one for you

my mom is visiting.. and has had a double mastecomy..

I challenge all poets here.. to write.. a poem about.
how a someone stands by someone else..
when a "piece" is missing..

I think we could have a great thread with this one.

(be it a breast, a leg, ... whatever)

Jeffrey sent me to your music the other
night redwriter IT is wonderful.
Beautiful voice.  I told him that you
must be from the south ----)  great
quality.  I love to sing, too.

FOR YOUR MOM  (Happy Mother's Day)

For each piece of you that I have
I am fortunate -

For each tear you have shed for
the parts that you would like back
I will wipe them dry and tell you
life would not be life without you by my side

For each piece of you that is missing
makes the other parts of you
just so much more precious

I love you for being you
and will hold you in my arms
and love you more if it is possible
to love that strong

I want you in my arms
where you belong
I love you for you
and for no other reason
