state of confusion

Dear Mom,

I’ve asked for more than my share,
Such a needy daughter at times,
Shaking our little family tree
With choices you’ve had to endure.

Suffering many sleepless nights,
Agonizing over my latest plight,
Here I am, starting over again,
With two little lives in my care.

Here you are, giving me strength,
To forge yet again a new trail,
I’ve finally come to realize
Everyday is Mother’s Day.

So true, Corinne
Your poem so nice
Where can one begin
To count the days were "Mothers" are thee
The "one" and "only"

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

Thank you very much, Park.  Am enjoying the day, got breakfast served in bed by my son, although it was at 5:30 a.m.

Thank you, Rex

Amy, glad this was what you needed, hon!

Helmut, Denise, and Sy, thank you.

Beautiful poem.   I agree everyday is Mother's Day.   I hope yours was great. My mom and I were just talking today about how I'd wake her up between 5 ot 6 am for breakfast in bed. Those were some wonderful days, and I miss them.

Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau"

a wonderful gift, Core.  can we ever give enough thanks?

Thanks Mom

OK....OK....so it's more than a few days late.
And I should say it with words,
though you've heard it with each step
along this path of recent years,
where you've led with gentle hand -
assuring me
these steps are true.
Thanks, Mom.

with love,
Rick
