Forgiveness

Once I was loved
But loved turned to rage
And I caused you pain that day
But I never allowed myself to admit it
You were my friend, my comfort, my protection
And yet I stabbed you with stinging words
How could I?
I suppose I was jelouse
But now I am forgiven
Forgiveness is only offered if there is true friendship
So now you are my friend, my comfort, my protection
So many feelings flow over me now,
And yet all I am able to say are two little words
But theses two words have the power to heal the deepest wounds of the heart
I simply have to say

I'm sorry.....

Wonderful Bunny...those two little words are often the hardest to say.  Well done!

~Bunny,...I have to say that out of the couple of poems that you have posted I am impressed.  Your work just speaks from the heart,...it's so real...so touching.  *Bravo*

I enjoyed reading this...sometimes those are the only words we want to hear...and they never come...or they come when it is too late.    James

Bunny, indeed, these two words can stick in one's throat, but they are the honey that heals broken hearts back together.  Good work.
