The sky is mirky blue tonight,
the stars are bright yellow.
A few strands of white whisp across this blanket of beauty I'm entangled in.
It's midnight, the lake is placid and calm.
The sky reflects onto the water almost perfectly.
I'm sitting on the dock, wrapped in a towel.
My swimsuit is blue and orange but still visible in the dark night.
I love the nighttime;
so calm, quiet, peaceful.
My friends are at the campfire,
no one seems to notice my lack of presence.
But even though I'm alone, I'm not lonely.
Now the water that rushes against my body,
is my companion.

Such peaceful imagery here.

That was beautiful, I am not the best person with coming up with titles but I think a title with the word "tranquillity" would really suit the atmosphere of the poem,
maybe "midnight tranquillity".

  Beautiful poem...as for a title?  Well I like Netswan's "Night is my Companion" or Brian's "Midnight Tranquillity" or how about "Dark Serenity"...  What ever you name it, the words are wonderful!
