the poetic klutz (sonnet)

he tried to write sonnets in good meter
dadum dadum dadum dadum dadum
he really needed a children's reader
dick, jane, sally, spot and puff that's the ones

one, two, three, four he tried to do better
he tries and tries but twiddles his big thumbs
took his poem to a poetry leader
she yelled out loud," dadum dadum dadum."

he joined a class and they did laugh bitter
it turned out to be hard and he felt dumb
the klutz wrote a poem 'bout tree of cedar
he was learning how to solve his rhythm
and the klutz turned in his sonnet eager

HIS SONNET

thar was this buddy of mine had some hogs
they was good fat hogs and rolled in the mud
but this here sonnet is not about hogs
it's about a green cedar tree named Fudd
now this tree did not wanna be a log
so Fudd waved its limbs at the early fog
and Fudd called and signaled for its friend Bud
well that thar Bud  was a lumber jack's dog
Fudd calmed his self down when he seed that Bud
cuz Bud did lead  his master to a bog
now that thar lumber jack sank in that crud
and Fudd reached his branches to hug that Dog
now Bud was happy to save his friend Fudd
But being a dog -leaped in bog like frog

Teresa,

When and if I stop laughing I'll come back and give a proper reply
This is just TOO funny.

LOL!   Very cute.

Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau"

Now my dear,

If you really want to learn to be truly Klutzie.
I can

cast a little spell
and transform your writing into a shape
you've come to know so well,
Well done..
