                 *Making Love*

Even in the dark I can feel his eyes penetrate deep within my soul
though my many flaws he has vowed to take me whole
His eyes are so beautifully intense this is so much more than lust
this feeling is something I can not compromise
loving him is a must
Though his caress is so gentle he is strong enough to make me weak
his blissfully soft kisses make my lips unable to speak
He whispers his promises of pleasure so very pure
no need to ask me
this is what I want my love I feel for sure
Silently I plead for this love to last forever
the way I feel with him is something that I thought I'd feel never
He takes my hand and together this journey we glide
for us it is so important to feel these emotions side by side
His love is so amazing he takes my breath away
as I reach this perfect heaven there is something i must say
As I cling to this man whose eyes with mine meet
I can feel every inch of him how fast his heart beats
I close my eyes and drift to this place so divine
He slowly whispers I love you and I my dear
I whisper back,I love you too

One chance at one's heart and perhaps true love can be found ~ Well, it looks like you may have found yours.  This was really sweet reading.

This is one of the best love poems I've ever read and I mean it too. In fact, I wish that I could write one like that. It was so expressive and totally from the heart. You deserve the word classic next to this piece.

Becky, excellent work - you go, girl!  And, in regard to your comment about being a hopeless romantic - I like to think of it as being a hopeful romantic, rather than a hopeless one.

Becky,
This made my heart melt - and ache too.

You have done an excellent job here.  Every emotion, feeling, and all the intensity wrapped up into this one moment.

Awesome.

This is stunning!  It has to be one of the best odes to a loved one that I have ever read.

The tragedy of it is that nobody sees the look of desperation on my face. Thousands and thousands of us, and we're passing one another without a look of recognition.
