She walked up to me
and placed her hand gently
along my inner thigh...

If I hadn't known better
I would have sworn that
we had met before...

She asked me to buy her a drink.

I did.

We left the hotel bar
and she joined me for a nightcap
in my hotel room...
A rustic little room with all the
fixins of a souped up hay loft.

We sat on the tired old bed
with the dark brown spreads and
overstuffed pillows watching cheap cable
TV and drinking the last of my
Bartles and James...

She leaned forward and kissed me...
I could see her fake eyelashes barely
clinging to the caked up  mascara on her
painted face.
I could smell the years of hate and disgust
and general nastiness in her hair
as I slowly undid her halter top and
let her unfasten my belt.

I looked up just in time to see
Gilligan staring tirelessly into MaryAnn's
eyes....and I wished that that could be me....

somethings dont need a title...
this was a very cool read...
and the honesty of the emotions was perfect.
as was the reality of that last verse.
excellent writing
take care, jm

 It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and you lose it all ...
And it's unnerving
How one move just puts me by myself
There you go just trusting someone else
Now I know I put us both through hell ...
I'm not sayin
That there was nothing wrong
I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me
And I'm not sayin
We ever had the right to hold on
I just didn't wanna let you get away from me.
