      How Like A Rose

How like a rose is womanhood,
So rich with radiant hue!
More lovely with each passing year;
Forever bright and new.
Her petals, ever opening,
Absorb both sun and rain.
So, woman's growth results from both
Life's pleasure and life's pain.

How like a rose is motherhood,
So filled with gentle grace!
Imbued with priceless beauty,
That the years cannot erase.
Her inner peace, she radiates
To all who pass her way.
So, like the rose, a mother grows
More precious every day.

Oh, Troy~
I'm going to take this one very personally.
It fits the many women that I've come to know and love.
I like to think that it fits me too.
You made me feel special.
I thank you.

This poem just tickles the senses with it's wonderful flow and incredibly understanding words. Your mother is very fortunate to have such a sensitive son in her life.  Beautiful Troy!

Best wishes,
/Kit
