Best Friend Afar
By Kelly

You’re a precious gift
That God sent to me,
A gift that I’ll cherish
Forever, you’ll see.

For a friend is a friend
But what makes them “best”,
Is the difference they show
From all of the rest.

When skies up above me
Are cloudy and gray,
I know that you some how
Will brighten my day.

And when I am anxious
To share some good news,
I know who I’ll tell
It’s YOU I will choose!

Through our journey in life
Friends come and go,
But you are forever
This I do know.

Though it may seem
We are worlds apart,
Please always know
You are close in my heart!

Reflect upon your present blessings-of which every man has many-not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some. ~Charles Dickens

KellSue,
You should definitely check into writing greeting cards.  This would make a great one!

Your words are so sweet and full of caring.

I really liked this one!
