Only Thought Waves Apart (For Mother's Day) Mother's day comes and goes over the years when I chose to think it just brought me tears. All I missed that friends shared with their mom's God needed you in heaven to read the psalms, at least that's the way I believed it should be. I was only ten when you were taken from me a mere child unaware of her future needs and lost in a world with so many evil deeds. I always prayed you were carefully watching and that our hearts could always be attaching. I know now that I have your sweet caring heart through it now we are only thought waves apart. I'm a reflection of your soul left here to carry on I hope I've stayed within reason not overdrawn. I've never thought this hard about Mother's Day but this year I love you, is what I need to say. |

Gloria, this is perfect! This is my absolute favourite of your poetry that I have read so far. I can feel your love for your angel mother so strongly. It is a wonderful poem and thank you for sharing it. It really touched me very deeply. Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. Gloria, this is so touching. I was a little bit older (18) when my mother passed away. I guess it is not easy at any age but more devastating when so young. My brother was almost 10 at the time. This is a lovely tribute to your mom. I'm sure she loves it and is smiling down on you! Denise |

I'm so very, very sorry. I can't imagine growing up without a mother, and then spending an entire adulthood without one. My heart goes out to you. Well written poem. |
