dappled sundrops
scattered by breeze rustled trees
edge a meadow flecked with wild color,
like the careless splatterings from an artist's brush
over a canvas of green

a winding trail, secreted and shadowed
leads to this forgotten, verdant field

in the sky above
soft feathers of clouds
float on azure June skies

gentle spring zephyr's carry
the meadow's fragrance to our senses
as we walk slowly
your hand in mine
speaking of nothing
yet everything

~~~~~
"meet me in our special place" was your whispered plea
the place where velvet meets stone
where lover meets lover
a cathedral put there by God
for two lost souls to find
green velvet
cradles us in it's mossy arms
as our passion melts
flowing like the brook nearby
over the stones of trouble
and falling over the waterfall of despair
carrying us far, far away
into that place
where life cannot dim
the love we share
crashing thunder
mimics the world's disdain
for the passions they know nothing of
and light like a stained glass kaleidescope
shatters through me
as you gently, so gently
touch your lips to mine
--William Shakespeare
Oh, this was excellent. It seems familiar though. Have I read it somewhere other than here.
 Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau"
T...Almost two years ago my friend was when you had seen this first. Go back to the beginning, to the start...there you will find the poem, much different..set in the fall, but the same in ways nevertheless.
Ohhhh and thanks so much for your kind replies all of you I appreciate them so much!
X~Angel~
This is stunningly beautiful.
The images leap off the page and
catch me in raptured delight.
I enjoyed the scene very much.
