I’m the proverbial American Man
I hold fast to a fragile society
As if I were riding a steady donkey
Into the winds of propriety

Belligerence can be quite tactful
If you are serving a plateful of stew
And you’re as of drenched comrade says
You bloody get, a bowl would better do

Comrade Tinkle Tutt a mighty man of old
Sits in the war room scowling at the map
He raises his coffee cup and shouts Here! Here!
But there is not even Sanka there on tap

Comrade Tinkle Tutt is a soviet yet a spy
Yet a spy… Ha Ha …a soviet yet a spy
He dug his best work up in Great Britain
He where’s a monocle up in his left eye

But I’m the American Man thus so!
I play a mean game o ‘lectronic battleship
And it would be quite ironic I’d say
But when we play I always get whipped

Tinkle Tutt Tinkle Tutt he said they’d cry
Course he was aliased and disguised then man!
They’d shout Jimminy Cricket he’s our cricket
If he can’t do it then durned if nobody can

Oh those glorious times of yesterday
When mom and dad were round to say Tsk! Tsk!
To sit and reflect is the American Way
Like when I beat ole Comrade Tinkle Tutt at Risk

Hey, walt.

This poem had smilin' all the way through. I especially liked the part about Battleship --reminded me of when I used to play it with my brother all the time. Strangely enough, this poem reminds me of early Pink Floyd. But saying that would compromise your thoroughly unique, rightfully bizarre vision. Lord knows we don't want that.

I look forward to more of your work -- assuming I can work out a schedule known as "free time."
