A Kiss Before Dying

Waken “Child of Darkness” from the point of no return
A soulless creature in Hell you forever burn
Skin transparent pale winter white
Seeks  victims unsuspecting in the black of night
Footprints soft and silent,  never will they hear
Powers from the crypt, it is you that they fear
Warm flow of blood, thirst too  lust
Powerless to fight, relax in your touch
Pounce the tiger with fangs of death
Useless struggles to draw one last breath
Feed upon mortals forever stay alive
Thrill of the kill in this you thrive
Offer the gift , or to let die
Life’s red blood wine drunk till dry
The master at work chills to the bone
In misery’s moon never walk alone
Creatures of darkness softly sighing
Forever offer a last kiss before dying

Marina,

WOW!  This is one of, if not your best.

All my love,

I love this poem.  The imagery, the underlying meanings, it's everything I like.  Wow...

 It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and you lose it all ...
And it's unnerving
How one move just puts me by myself
There you go just trusting someone else
Now I know I put us both through hell ...
I'm not sayin
That there was nothing wrong
I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me
And I'm not sayin
We ever had the right to hold on
I just didn't wanna let you get away from me.

Jeffery, thank you.  It is actaully an old one of mine.

Nagroc, thank you and welcome to Passions.  I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Jm,  I think I have been doing a little too much reading lately.

Marina, this one would make you shiver before going out into the dark night alone!
Some serious imagery here! Very well written i think.

Excellent poem.  I understand that they are releasing a game based on Vampire:The Masquerade for the PC.  Perhaps I will check into it.

Jm, my inspiration for the Vampire tales is from the series of vampire chronicles written by Anne Rice.
