Why is it when I ask you
For something I can't get
Because I haven't had the time
I've not gotten to it yet.

You'd think I asked for everything
You get so pissed you see
You get so very mad and yell
And start a fight with me

Is it really all that hard
To take a moment of yours
And think of someone else
And help by going to the store

I am busy too,
I don't have all day...
Just because I do not work
And get a check of pay

Two kids to the doctor
each in different place
Each a different time
And different doctors face

Had four kids in tow
Didn't get back til late
The phone is ringing, time to go
And it's time to fill the plate

Was time for the baby to go
Mom was here to get her
Then it's time for dinner
You're all hungry I'm sure

I asked one simple favor
Of you when home from work
If you'd be so kind to help
But instead you were a jerk

You couldn't go round the corner
To get us both some smokes
Instead you got an attitude
It's petty yes, but not a joke

It's all the stress here lately
This just broke the wall
And opened up the gates
To let my tears just fall

[lol] I like SEA's suggestion.  Although some would say that'd make you just as bad as him or something. =)  I can't say I know where you're coming from, but I can say it might make it easier to see from your side if I were him.  Nice poem.

Great job...you've in a wonderful way summarized the stress and hectity of our every day lives and what society is becoming, and what it can be to each and every person.  Keep up the good work!

Well, it is off your chest now --
LOL   I do not know what to say --

Sounds like it is time to compromise
OR get a part time job - use that money
to pay for sitters and a maid

OR find friends that are not working and
you take theirs one day a week and they
take yours on another given day----so you can manage to get at least one day off a week -----LIKE men somehow always to manage to do.  GRRR.

OR hehe, quit smoking ------and then
when he is out of smokes. OH WELL --)

Take care,
netswan

Sea ya think maybe that would work? haha
thanks I just had to vent. Under a lot of stress lately with a lot going on, and this just broke the camels back.

WN-I doubt it would make him see, probably make him more upset. And you're probably right, they might just say that.

Nagroc thank you! It is just one bad day out of the life of me.

Netswan first, if I must go into it all.
I have worked, most of the time and we move alot. I'm staying home now, one of those situations, damned if ya do and damned if ya don't.
I have 3 kids, one was sick and home the other had a re-check for his asmtha with one doctor in one town, the other has been back 3 times for stomach pain and went back again today to another doctor in a different town.
So I had 2 doctors appointments at different times in different places...and one is 45 minutes to an hour drive. And that's just my regular doctor.
I also watch, full time, a 17 month old baby.
Who was tired and cranky.
When I got home HIS head hunter kept me tied up, I was feeding the baby and getting her ready to go, then it was time for dinner, who else is gonna make it? I didn't have time to get there today so I asked him. I also have a bro in law living with me and a sis in law I'm not real happy with that stayed here in our house that's too small for her and him and they're 2 kids and me and my husband and our 3 kids. So ya wanna talk babysitters? Are you volunteering? I think I might just let him go and get his own darn smokes.

Walt you always bring me a smile or laugh!
PUSH I will!

Ah, I will be doing some PUSHing for you today, sweetie! I know how aggravating life can get sometimes, especially after a week like you just had. Sometimes it only takes something 'little' to top it all off.

Love ya

I so greatly admire moms who can fit all in a day ... I truly don't know how you do it!  It's a full time job to say the least.  I've seen corporate resumes that couldn't hold a candle to the amount of experience and juggling required to run a home! Next time ... write out a bill for "all" of the services you did in one day, and see if he understands.  Loved the poem!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Irie, you have it exactly right! Their job is always tougher, they always work harder, their always more tired. Go figure. We work 24/7 with no vacation time.  And I know what you mean by Wonder Woman and that I'm certainly not, but I wish he could grasp that.

Denise I'd appreciate all the *PUSH* I can get! Yep, just one of those little things that caved in my hill.

Kit thank you! It's nice to know some people can appreciate what it is we go through.
He actually was shown how much the job I do is worth if he ever had to pay someone to do it. When filling out insurance. It was somewhere in the $100,000.00 range.  Maybe we should give them that choice eh? Pay out or realize how lucky you are to have someone do it for free, the only cost...Love.
Then don't whine when you have to run around the corner or it'll cost ya.

Ruth I just sat there and cried and was so angry and I couldn't let it out. I was raging inside and couldn't yell. So I started writing and this is what came out.

I was just reading my email and I thought I'd tack this on here. For it's so very true!

Mom and Dad were watching TV when Mom said,
"I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed."
She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's
lunches, rinsed out the popcorn bowls,
took meat out of the freezer for supper
the following evening, checked the cereal box levels,
filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the
table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.
She then put some wet clothes in the dryer,
put a load of clothes into the wash,
ironed a shirt and secured a loose button.
She picked up the game pieces left on the table and put the
telephone book back into the drawer.
She watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung
up a towel to dry.

She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom.
She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher,
counted out some cash for the field trip,
and pulled a textbook out from hiding under the chair.
She signed a birthday card for a friend,
addressed and stamped the envelope
and wrote a quick note for the grocery store.
She put both near her purse.

Mom then creamed her face, put on moisturizer,
brushed and flossed her teeth and trimmed her nails.
Dad called out, "I thought you were going to bed."
"I'm on my way," she said. She put some water into the
dog's dish and put the cat outside,
then made sure the doors were locked.

She looked in on each of the kids and turned out a bedside lamp,
hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks in the hamper,
and had a brief conversation with the one up still doing homework.
In her own room, she set the alarm, laid out clothing for the next day,
straightened up the shoe rack.

She added three things to her list of things to do for tomorrow.
About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in
particular, "I'm going to bed."
And he did...without another thought. Anything extraordinary here?

*sigh* I hope you feel better soon...I do know what you are going through..when I was married and stayed home, I didn't even have the luxury of having a car...and now that I'm divorced, I'll just nod quietly and say "I understand....and YOU deserve better!"

DA thanks I could use all I can get.

Sharon thanks for always being there and listening to me vent. That means a lot. I know I've not been much fun as of late.

Rebecca the tears were short lived. Thank you! I appreciate it

Nan it seems that way. If it's in writing, I just hate to add to the icks.

Shawna thanks my friend! She stayed with her kids one night. And it about drove me nuts.
He stays with us all the time. I know it's rough on them, my hubby came out here and started work and I was in Colorado. It was around 2 months that we didn't get to see each other. They're close enough they see each other every weekend. She seems to think that's too difficult and has hinted around about coming out here. NO WAY, she isn't staying here.  I could really go on about this. They're selling a home in Mich, and haven't even so much as contacted the realtor out here. They look in the paper but haven't taken the time while together out here to even look for a home. I'm all for helping, but this is ridiculous.

Kellsue much appreciation
