** keeping me muse--amused...*smile*

WANTED ... an inspired poet in need of a slightly abused muse.
I can be rather creative when well treated ...
feel free to ask me rhyme ... if a new muse you could use.

I've been happy with my poet now ... for many a year,
but lately I have felt taken for granted ...
even perhaps forgotten,  I do fear.

Janet Marie works me pretty hard ... but that I really don't mind,
its just that sometimes she gets carried away ...
and leaves her good judgment behind.

She always leads with her heart and lets passion be her guide,
then when her heart gets broken ...
one guess who she makes stay by her side.

Good advice I always give her ... but she NEVER learns,
so many times I've told her ...
don't play with fire ... she knows the heat burns.

I know she's just looking for true love ... just like all the rest,
but oh man how she wears me down ...
she puts my poetic patience to the test.

But maybe I've been too hasty ... been too hard on my lady poet,
I mean, I could end up with a prose writer ...
that would be my luck, and don't I know it.

(Or I could end up with Sir Michael)
I would learn SO much ... BUT he'd never let me sleep ...
or even b squirrel...
he writes so cool ...  but oh so very deep.

Working for ANY of passions first ladies would be and honor and a treat,
they ALL are so talented and wise ...
so honest, passionate and sweet.

Yet I could work for a moderator, we get to see their lovely, kind faces,
and its always good to have --
"connections in high places."

Or I could hang out with Balladeer and Sy,
we could play in the Florida sun ...
while watching the golf balls go zinging by.

I could swing with Poet D and Poet Femme ...
with Marina and Devina over in the adult forum tasting some spice ...
WHEW !!    I could learn a new trick or two...
I think that would be OH so nice.

Then there is Parker, Danny, and Sven,
and our MANY other men of romance,
they write such romantic poetry ...
I could fall for anyone one of them, given half a chance.

SO MANY GIFTED POETS IN PASSIONS ...
FAR TOO MANY TO NAME YOU ALL HERE,
but each one is so special to us both ...
each one holds a place in our hearts dear.

WELL, I have had some time to reconsider, this Want - AD I wish to withdraw,
Janet Marie really needs me ...
she would be lost without me ... and besides ... though I hate to admit it ...
I have become attached to the silly brown eyed south paw.

** some times ya just gotta humor the old muse

  [LOL]    You kill me sometimes.  Nice work humoring the muse.... I could use a little extra help over here myself. =)

Hey, muse, come down to Balladeer.
I could use your presence here.
Work your magic charms on me
(and, by the way, bring Janet-Marie!)

Love the poem, my girl

I loved both the poem, and your array of candy-button faces to the right (yes, that's what I call them; hell if I know why). So to you, candy-button butterfly slippers, I say: YOU HAVEN'T EVEN COME close TO LOSING YOUR MUSE.

Thanks for the insight. And I'll do my best not to use the caps lock key next time.

Hey muse, don't leave our dear Janet. She needs you fiercly, she does. Maybe you just want to go because your being overworked.... look at all those posts she makes you think up.... she's trying to challenge Denise.
Maybe thats it after all those posts she's to exhausted to write...... You two need a litte R&R, give you time to write and have fun with each other, and maybe a little romance too might be in order.......

hey BEG, I didn't know you were a south-paw!
Sure enjoyed this little read from your muse.  Pretty creative i thought.  And i kind of like it when you play with fire!
Such a talented lady you are.  You have me with some pretty good romantic poets there with Parker and Sven.  They're excellent writers I feel.
It's always a treat to "click" on one of your poems.  Nice surprises always wait!
See ya BEG~~~

I really love this one Janet. . .

It would seem that the muses have decided to speak for themselves through us rather than have us speak to them (or for them as the case may be. . . )

This was a wonderful mix of humor and romance (two of my favorite things!!) and I am indeed honored to make the list with Parker and Danny, they are quite gifted. . .

And hey muse!!  Don't leave Janet just yet, she needs you, I'm really getting used to reading all of this cool poetry from her!!

Great poem Janet

Oh my, our Janet Marie...
just what is this I do see?
A muse that's gotten away from thee...
oh my, my, Janet Marie...

Now what if this muse started talking
before it started away awalking...
getting other muses to follow along...
all singing an a"musing" song...

"Oh follow me, muse and meses...
we'll get these poets down on their kneeses...
thinking they can do better than we?
Oh" the muse chant, "look at us! he he"

~~~
Now see what you've started?  All the muses are going to form a union and write a book about their owners, all the abuse they've put them through, the terrible hours, the sleepless nights, all because they couldn't write...and blame it on the muse, you see, for lack of words for poetry!
JM, if the muses make a million bucks, it's your hiney on the block!
In the meantime, I'm having one great laugh at your endless wit!
J. Marie,
I love you girl!  You surprised me with this one.  The truth, the humor - what a combination.  You are so talented and creative - I am envious of that muse of yours.  Tell me, where can I get one like that?  No, honestly, your muse is lucky because its got the great assistance of your heart.  Your writing is so full of heart and soul, and it IS poetic - so poetic.  Thanks for being "me kindred".  You are doing something right - more than you know, and in so many ways.  Please don't ever stop - we need you!
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean. Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens. Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance. And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance - I hope you dance.
