~  Fly Baby Angel  ~

Fly baby angel - mom's coming home soon
I'm hitching a ride on the beam's of our moon.
Play hopscotch & jumprope
Till mommy gets there
We'll dance in the clouds - ballet in the air.

Fly baby angel - I loved you so dear
Your wings have grown strong, so fly without fear.
Now play with the angels
Till mommy gets home
And know that in heaven - you're never alone.

Fly baby angel - you're still in my heart
Though we're not together, we're never apart.
Now close tiny eyes
and get angel sleep
So you won't see mommy - break down here to weep...

To my baby girl, Laisha Denea.

PFF--

if i can get past the lump in my throat, i'll try to post you a decent reply to this. this was so incredibly sad yet tender, and very beautiful. i can't imagine the pain of losing a child. i am glad to know that you are able to let your feelings go in poetry.

take care!

Oh, Femme, I had no idea!  I'm so sorry!  This is absolutely beautiful!  I'd love to post this on my poetry memorial bereaved site - it would be a real honor, to honor your little girl.  It's called "Coming Through the Fire", and it's at http://www.angelfire.com/zine/bereaved/index.html

Again, this is exquisite, and the last lines brought tears to my eyes.

Beautiful...I really don't know what else to say except I'm sure the Moon's beam and the Sun's rays keep heaven in constant warmth and light...

Oh Gen...I'm so very sorry Hun.
This brought both tears and a smile.
Tears because such a loss is so devastating, so sad.
I couldn't even begin to understand the pain,
even though I'm a mom.
Even though there is sorrow, this poem is so
precious and sweet.
To know that your baby girl is in heaven, not alone, a little angel.
That is what made me smile.
What a beautiful tribute you have made to her here.

Warm Hugs to you from me

Femme,
I am sure your little one knows just how loved she was. It takes courage to bare yourself like this. Excellent work also.

Such a touching and loving poem...it brought tears to my eyes.  I'm sorry for your loss...I know your little angel must be soaring around Heaven telling all the other angels about her wonderful Mother who loves her so much and that she watches over you every day.  Sad but sweet poem.  Her spirit lives in all things beautiful.  Thank you so much for sharing.

You have brought tears to my eyes with your lovely poem to your daughter.  I know how hard it is to have this pain that never goes away, but this poem is full of the knowing that love lasts forever.  My poem Breath Unplugged was about this lasting. Hugs!

Those who are gone are not forgotten, and those who have gone before will wait for us on the other side and weep for our fear, cry for our sorrow, but smile for our victory when we move toward them.  Bless you sis.  Beautiful poem.  I can only think that she's sitting on Jerry Don's lap and just playing...
