Meeting

chair's folded
night's through
what the heck's a girl to do?

she may slip
while you're away
off the wagon another day.

support on legs
with lips to speak
salvation is all she seeks

the coffee stale
the doughnuts old
she doesn't fit into your mold

needs more than a meeting
to conquer the urge
needs ears to listen to her purge.

security leaving through the double doors
walking in to the night
allowing her to slip from the light.

alone is the worst
secret voices speak
aid and salvation is all she seeks.

Hi S !
Thats beautifully expressed. We all seek salvation at one time or another. Patience is all we need and fear is all we need to conquer. May god be with you in all your troublesome times

Sincerely

~Thank you AL for your heartfelt response.  The meetings aren't for a substance abuse,...just so's you know.  More of a self destruction fixer thinger...yeah,...something like that.  But honestly,...your reply meant lots to me and I wanted to thank you for that. Really,,...I am holding onto what you said in my heart

I'd rather have someone hate me for who i am,than to have someone like me for who i'm pretending to be
