Just A Reminder
Amy M. Kennedy

So caught up in our lives, we sometimes forget those we care about
But never do I forget you for a moment, that there is no doubt
You are my best friend, devoted and true
Showing me time and time again the essence of you

Of who you are, and what you want to be
You share with me your hopes and dreams
I treasure them more than you will ever know
It is my only hope that this friendship continues to grow

You wipe away my tears when I am feeling blue
Make me laugh, this too is true
If it weren’t for you, I don’t know where I’d be
Probably lost and alone, tossed out to the sea

Talking into the late hours of the night
You free my soul when I am down, let it take off in flight
Before meeting you, I was only a part of myself
You brought out the best in me…that was sitting on a dusty shelf

Forever, I will care and make you know how I feel
Best friends forever, I believe that’s the deal?
I will continue to show you that I do care indeed
And will always be around for whatever you want or may need

Till the end of our time you and I shall be friends
And even then our friendship won’t end
We will go to heaven and live with the angels in the sky
And together we will be, as all the days of eternity pass on by

~Live today as though it were your last but prepare for tomorrow as though it were here~

Hi Amy!
I loved it so much. I have a friend who is just like what you have. Its amazing, it was she who brought out the best in me and she was my company during my solitude and painful times.
I need to show her how much I love her and  I've become just like she wanted me to be and always she's a great soul and nothing matters when I'm in her company.
Thanks for the read and I enjoyed it.

Sincerely
A_L

Amy,
I love this poem!!!  I can relate to having a friend like that, and I can't wait to send him this poem with the greeting card feature.  This poem touched my heart and I know it will his too when I send it.  Thank you for sharing your beautiful words!

Friends like this are a rarity, so hold on to them.
