The Time We Had

I think of moments
come and moments gone
and of those few where
my love was strong
You needed me when,
I really needed you
and we made the touch
that lovers often do
and in that time,
as brief as it was new
I lost my heart, to the one
whose kiss, would turn my
thoughts from all the girls
I ever knew.
Oh my love, there will never
be a moment, that'll pass,
When I don't think about-
the time we had..........

Always your poet, forever your
friend, a place in my heart till
the very end.

 It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and you lose it all ...
And it's unnerving
How one move just puts me by myself
There you go just trusting someone else
Now I know I put us both through hell ...
I'm not sayin
That there was nothing wrong
I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me
And I'm not sayin
We ever had the right to hold on
I just didn't wanna let you get away from me.

After the hurt has finally faded, it is nice to let yourself think of the happier times. Everyone holds a place in their heart for that special someone who they lost. It is unfortinute that in most cases this person is also the one who caused the most pain.

Parker* This was beautiful, it doesn't take much to bring those thoughts rushing back when they are such a huge part of our hearts.  You captured the feeling perfectly.

 Hold me for yesterday
Kiss me for tomorrow

Excellent Parker, you have captured the feelings that sometimes we have when it's all over. . . the pain, the loss. . . the love that's still shared, it can all be confusing can't it?

And you're right, pain should not control our life, but rather, we should control what causes us pain and turn it into that which gives us strength. . .

Very well done my friend. . .

Lovely words and sentiments here, Parker! Memories are the most wonderful things when the pain has receded.

Kit, thank you, its one of those letters that people often do, and just know they can't send because it won't make any difference.

Butterflies, thank you as always, you so nice to me in your comments.

Sven, I find people too often live in their pain. This will only draw it out and make it worse. Some pain will never leave us, but we must control how it affects us. This doesn't mean a person is unfeeling, there is a time for pain and a time to turn it into special memories and then move on with life and hold those special memories, as memories not as pain.

ESP, thank you, I agree totally.

Corinne, nice to see you back sweet poet, thank you.

Krista, you are truely too kind to me, and yes I know what your thinking does he have any extra rope......

Parker.... I'm in a strange tired mood the last few days, so could say anything and probably will. Slightly bent.
