This Entity Lori LockHeart It has a funny way of working. This entity. The surprises, the instances that sneak up on you. This is what we remember. And what remarkably becomes important to us. This is how it happened with you. A surprise. In my intention for new direction, I turned down an unexpected path And found my way to a beautiful friend. It’s inexplicable, this entity. You think you have all you need Until you discover what was missing all along. Before you, no one even heard mention Of my most inherent thoughts, Except the cold, vacant, unresponsive paper. What did I do before? I can’t even imagine it. Now I have our kinship, a new direction, and these words. And all are infinite. It was a surprise. Yet my entity is changed forever. How startling it is. This entity we call life. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean. Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens. It is amazing how when some "entity" captivates us - everything changes all around us. The past falls away and the future becomes something to look forward to. You capture this feeling well. Beautiful work, Lori. Michael |

Lori, it is wonderful and amazing how we can look at the same thing 100 times but then when we look at it through another's eyes we see it for what it really is and how life seems complete until we meet someone that completes US. this is very cool poem Lori-girl... I do so like the way you mind works.  very nice view thru your eyes take care, jm It's amazing How you make your face just like a wall How you take your heart and turn it off How I turn my head and you lose it all ... And it's unnerving How one move just puts me by myself There you go just trusting someone else Now I know I put us both through hell ... You are an Entity you say I like the poem, the flow, the style and your way Well done is all what I can say But you are more than Entity For someone you are an Eternity The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools. |
