It touched me
With its words,
Penetrating the deepest
confines of my soul,
And ignited a fire within me -
One that burned ever so slightly
out of control.
Its warmth
blanketed my body,
Enveloped me within its
strong and massive arms.
I held on to it tightly
though it manifested no form,
And I stayed there
but for a time...
And time stood still.

It touched me with its words,
and it... was you.

Brandyn,
This "touched me" too.  I guess I react strongest to words that I can easily relate to, and that's what these words have done to me.  Very powerful.

Beautiful work, Brandyn.  On should relish it when "time stands still" for them...  sound like you did.

This was absolutely breathtaking. I liked how you built the poem around on how you feel and then revealed the reason why. both creative and beautiful. wonderful!

take care,
