Lover's Lives

For years to love alone with no recourse
To never vanquish coarse and shallow care,
To live with paltry tools that brought remorse
And left one only loneliness to share.
But when true love caressed myweary hand
And whispered that she too had loved alone,
Together we began to understand
That love must from a seed be fully grown.
This seed of unity we nurtured dear
As now our blossom flourishes and thrives,
To bless us with these joys that know no peer,
This sweet entanglement of lover's lives.

For truly where one stood now stands but two
To laugh and learn and live and love anew.

I like the way your garden grows my friend.
this is lovely...starts out so melancholy but then turns beautiful in its emotions and devotion.
very nice,once again

David I am very confused - I posted
a reply to this when it first went up.
And, now I am not here to tell you what
I said.

I expect to open every poem of yours
and enjoy my read.  This sonnet did not
disappoint me.  Lovely

Netswan,
I am sorry, but I inadvertently posted this twice and your reply was on the other post, I did read it and I thank you for your comments. While I am here I want to thank all of you who took the time to read this, I am very aware of how much traffic there is here and it is humbling to know you took time to read my work. Thank you.
