~  He Who Flys  ~

So many stars above me
vibrant, shining in the night -
Yet not one to grant my wish,
I wish I may, I wish I might...

* * * * * * * *

"Oh God", I cry out to the sky -
"Please make it go away,
this longing that I have to catch
a shooting star..." I pray.

Every night he seems so close
I feel him flying by -
I stretch, he's barely out of reach
I fight back tears and sigh...

Retrieving once again, my hand
I open it to see -
the emptiness I hold instead,
of he who flys o'er me...

Your poem flows beautifully with desires of something so close, yet far away. You portrayed these images wonderfully. I thoroughly enjoyed this PoetFemme!

Perhaps you already have caught one, my dear, perhaps you already have.

"WELCOME TO MY WORLD"  *smile*

*sigh*...oh yes...know it well...
but we must try to remember...
falling stars burn our hands and our hearts...
as a shooting star is burning out on its way down...
but damn do I love the intensity of the heat.
*smile*
beautiful poem of longing my girl...
very nice.

 It's amazing
How you make your face just like a wall
How you take your heart and turn it off
How I turn my head and you lose it all ...
And it's unnerving
How one move just puts me by myself
There you go just trusting someone else
Now I know I put us both through hell ...
I'm not sayin
That there was nothing wrong
I just didn't think you'd ever get tired of me
And I'm not sayin
We ever had the right to hold on
I just didn't wanna let you get away from me.

I think I'm going to use one of these "Find out anything about anyone" deals I keep seeing advertized, and get your address... Then find someone to drop me out of a plane over your house one night...  I'll wait until after I get the green contacts though.

DEFFINITELY and impressive entrance.

Oh, did I mention how awesome your poem was? =)

Brief glimmers draw us but kindled flame will keep us warm....Here's hoping your glimmer has more heat than that of a fleating star...
