Rushing Down The Mountain
~*Marge Tindal*~

Love comes rushing down the mountain
through the forest and the hills
Flowing in the babbling brooks
puddling in the smallest rill

Cascading to the streams
carrying me with the flow
Winding through the rivers
on it's way to the ocean it goes

Love walks with me through the valley
helps me climb so I might stand
Once more upon the mountaintop
cradled within a loving hand

Love comes rushing down the mountain
as the breeze that sweeps the plain
Caresses me with spirit's wing
so I can fly again

Love meets me on the morning
as the dawning sky takes light
Slipping behind the mountain
when the day turns into night

It rises in the evening sky
illuminating my every thought
Cresting and waning in beauty
within love's glow I am caught

Love comes swooping down the mountain
as gentle song on feathered wing
Filling my heart with the melodies
that the meadowlark does sing

Love is everything to me
the keeper of my heart
Love comes rushing down the mountain
purest joy to me it does impart

Martie~
Darn it !  I wish we were sitting together on the verandah sipping coffee and sharing our thoughts.  Oh, well ... next best thing is sharing our 'passionate poetic thoughts' here.

You'd be a nice way to spend the day !
Thank you, girlfriend !
Love ya'.

Yes, this is sweet and lovely Marge
love -----is everywhere if one just opens
their eyes and see it for what it is.

Well written, as usual.

Denise~
I'm so glad you liked it.  I tell you, my car is inhabited by the most magical muse.  She sings the sweetest songs in my ear ...
I have only to pen them.

NetSwan~
So glad to share the beauty of love that is found everywhere.

KellSue~
Welcome to Passion's.
I'm glad you treasured this.
I visited your web page ....
you are a doll and I enjoyed your
Beatle's tune.  Friendship is second only
to love of and from family ... and then again, friends are our 'family' ...
you'll love it here.
Thank you for your sweet comments.

Marge....this gave me a warm tingle of pure delight when I read it. It is a lovely poem, so very beautiful. I should like to borrow your muse! Nah, then I'd be deprived of reading your poetry! You depict falling in love so perfectly...I wish that when I fall in love for the first time it is the way you described here.*sigh*....dreamy poem!

Love and hugs,
Lizzie

This is so picturesque Marge. Beautiful imagery ... I feel as if I'm swept away to this beautiful place as I read. Lovely poem.

Marge,

have you seen the movie "What Dreams May Come?" This poem reminds me of that movie, the colors, the landscapes, the mountains and valleys, the ability to fly.

Lovely poem, sweet poet.

Jeffrey~
Marge is smiling.

ESP~
Thank you so very much.  I wish for you to know a love like this ... and when it comes, I hope you will remember this poem.

I am a poet of many muses .. there are a couple that I've loaned to others ... but this one I would truly miss if she should ever go ... she sings the sweetest songs to my heart.

Kit~
Oh, thank you.  That is such a sweet, sweet thing to say.

Corinne~
I've not seen the movie yet.
But now I just have to.  Thank you, hon.

Nan~
I like the way you phrased that.
I guess love can move mountains or we can move to the mountain of love.

'Course I'll remember this poem whensoever I fall in love. It shall be added to my collection of favorites to keep forever and ever.

Oh Marge, got a muse to lend me?!! I wrote a poem today and it sucks so I think mine is resigning or something!

Love and hugs,
Lizzie

Sometimes I don't know what I like more about your poems...reading them, or reading the replies.  You have shared your muses with me before, Marge...now pass one on to Lizzie...

Well done, Lady!

Lizzie, gal ... check your e-mail !
That little muse is on her way as soon as I hear from you.

Karilea~
We are so much alike ... and I love it.
The nostalgic, sentimentality is as much a part of your heart as it is mine.
I also enjoy reading the replies ... they warm my heart.

Yeah ... that little muse is almost packed and ready for the lease/loan program with Lizzie.
Thank you, my friend .... and your Mother's Day Gift touched my heart.
Love you ...
