Subliminal shards of humanity, border-line insanity-
Tell me how does thou flower grow?
Sentimental caresses, meant purely for distress-
Show me how to hide my soul…

Seasonal awakening, by truths bitter sting-
Love me with sheltered heart,
Sing your praises, above God’s loving grace’s-
Then grin as your form departs…

Generously squeeze, life’s hurried disease-
Reluctantly from my own lips-
Seethe in your sorrow, into lonely tomorrow-
As you want nothing more than my kiss…

Succumb to your lies, in yourself ye despise-
For you tread the path that you lay,
Filter love’s sting, tis what your heart brings-
Do not falter upon Fate’s dismay…

Return to your solitaire, only beware-
You shall bleed this heart no more,
Live upon bliss, of lust and kiss-
As loneliness seeps to the core…

Open arms can be the most fragile in the world...

WOW!   I wish I could use the type of wording you do here as effectively.
Enjoyed it. Thanks for the wonderful reading.

Stinging words D.  'Tis true - nothing leaves a more hollow feeling than empty loving... but oh how many people settle for that...

"Show me how to hide my soul…"

when you figure this one out...
please let me know...

this is excellent devina,
your word choices are perfect...
and the pain is all too well expressed.
*sigh*(of resignation)...
wish we didnt know this kind inspiration quite so well...
I know, you know...*smile*
take care poet-girl.

Very powerful Devina,
I can still feel the sting from the last verse. . .

"Return to your solitaire, only beware-
You shall bleed this heart no more,
Live upon bliss, of lust and kiss-
As loneliness seeps to the core…"

And yes, a lot of people do settle for this, but I can see that you are not going to be one of them. . .

Great poem!
