state of confusion

Sal Besada

Flamingo Guitar
caught my ear,
sitting alone,
Baja bar.

Me, my margarita,
your fingers fluttering,
nylon strings retracting.

Licking salted rim,
watching you watch
lime squeezing,
brown eyes meeting.

Moonlight café,
my chocolat caliente,
micrófono kissed,
my lips substitute,
bay lapping, splashing.

Hot breeze, my shoulder
turning towards water,
the set is over,
we lay upon
wet sand,
your land.

Corinne--I love this poem---what a wonderful scene you have painted, the atmosphere is so real and seductive...reminds me of someplace I have been....

Beautiful! It also sounds very calming. Definetely sounds like a nice time.

Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau"

Hey look who's getting all romantic and sensual now. Very good, more from the womans perspective on desire, I'll have to take notes...... I could use it up here as the summer approaches.
Thanks for the view again always so vivid are these.

Corinne~
This is just scrumptious !
You bring the scene to life with
your portrayal ...
softly and sensually taking us there.
Exquisite !

Martie, thank you.  Was thinking of a place in Mexico called San Jose del Cabo.

Thank you, Temptress.

Yes, Park, but there's one thing. It's our (women's) perogative to change our minds and our perspectives!

Thank you, Marge!
I've caught major flack on this one since I used the word "Flamingo" instead of "Flamengo" in the first line, a play on words, but it upset some folks.  Oh well.
Stirring up the you-know-what as usual.
