God’s angels sprinkle stardust sight unseen
By grownup eyes, dispelling all dark’s fear
Babes sleep in perfect innocence serene
Without a single care to cause a tear.
The fairies dance about in little heads
Creating magic all throughout the night
As tiny tots are sleeping in their beds
And cuddling with their teddy bears so tight.
The moonbeams dance and constellations sing
A soothing lullaby as elves slide down
A candy rainbow, colors glittering;
Enchanted dreamland chases every frown.

So close your eyes and hush my precious one
The fun begins again at setting sun.

Wow, now this poem is phenomenal!  You are so very talented and have such a way with words.  The flow, the descriptions, the rhyme, and the meter is perfect!

Take care,

Oh! This is beautiful...

Hi D~
  Ah yes, if only all babies could sleep peacefully through the night, there would be a lot less stressed out people in the world! Don't you love to see a little baby yawn? And hear the little noises when they drink their bottles?
  Anyway, I liked your poem.
best regards,
bboog

Denise~
Sounds like an endearing lullaby
for sure ....

'A soothing lullaby as elves slide down
A candy rainbow, colors glittering;
Enchanted dreamland chases every frown.'

Sweetly sung.

This was fabulous Denise. Very discriptive and excellently written (like it would be done any other way by you.. )

 When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book,
And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
Your eyes had once, and of their shodows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace,
And loved your beauty with love false or true,
But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
And loved the sorrows of your changing face...

Denise,

This is beautiful.  I think my inner child wants to read it again before I go to sleep tonight.

Thank you, Melissa, Sudhir, Bob (that would be great, wishful thinking at best!), Janet Marie, Marge, Martie, Sue, Rebecca (yes, it went extremely well! He went to sleep at 6:30 p.m. and slept 'til 6:30 a.m. and he wasn't fussy at all with his teething all day either!), Romantic Heart, Danny and Balladeer (they do make my heart smile!) for reading and for your kind replies!
