In the pain I am numb
Even though I feel some sharp
twinge going through my heart.
They say you'll not recover
they say you'll soon be gone
But I know one thats   higher
that can make you well again
I prayed for you this very second
and I know he can bring you through
I loved you then I love you now
I won't give up he has the power
to see you through.
Why do people needlessly drive drunk?
no thought of the other on the road
when all you ever wanted was to help another
You are the sunshine of the night
You are the joy of the day
So I know God can see you  now
and make you stay
for those of us who need you
for those of us that care
for those of us that can't let go
My tears flow like a river
I can not make them dry
You  are my friend of all time
My pain is so hard to share
how much I really care.

State of constant confusion!

Rosebud,
I know the pain of not understanding why things happen the way they do is very difficult to go through, but I believe that things happen for a reason. Even though we may not know the reason at the time and may never know the reason, God does. Glad to see that you have taken this to him. For he truly is one that can help.

My prayers are with you.

All my love,
Jeffrey

God will give us understanding.   Nice poem you have here.

RoseBud~
Your friend has my prayers added to yours.
Honey, it's tragic when one driving drunk causes so much pain.

Believe me, I know.
I lost my youngest brother to a drunk driver's heartless stupidity 20 years ago.
I saw the life drain out of my mother at the loss.  So sad our loss that still haunts me to this day.

I would pray that your friend pulls through.
Loving thoughts to you.

Temptress, Danny and Marge, every day I just have to go on believing in a greater power. Thanks for you prayers. Marge thank you for sharing with me. I know it must be hard. I also understand from the perspective that my mother was an alcoholic died from it. To often drugs take over one lifes and in the process take others as well.

Rosebud,
You have brought tears to my eyes.  I think one of the hardest things in life is not understanding why things happen.  It's a basic human instinct to ask why.  I too believe that even though we may not understand, there is always a reason.  I'll keep this in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you Tom , Denise, and Lori I know each and every day brings hope. The tragedy is that he was on his way to a call works with coast guard and got hit by drunk driver that came across median. So all I can do is have faith in the impossible.
