~  Pool of Willowfalls  ~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Wildflowers bountiful - I'd picked my basket full
Quite exhausted being in the heat, it was then I saw the pool...
Crystal clear - it lay below - a splendid waterfall
surrounded by lush willowtrees that loomed above it all.

I thought, "Why not, I'll take a swim, there's no one here but me..."
So I slipped my dress up o'er my head & draped it on a tree -
Heavy spray from off the falls - kissed my salty skin
I closed my eyes & took a breath & gracefully dove in.

The waters swirling round me nearly took my breath away
Cool and swift caressing me - I could have swam all day...
I floated on my back, slightly warmed by shadowed sun
My long hair all around me - here with nature, I was one.

My skin shimmered bright, as the sun shone all around
Still thrilled that here indeed, this place called Willowfalls, I'd found.
Reluctantly, with one last dip - I smoothed back all my hair,
but as I stepped out from the pool, I found my dress no longer there...

My basket still lay on the ground, "Now where could that dress be?"
I stood there naked 'neath the trees, felt someone watching me...
I saw no movement, heard no sound, but certainly felt "eyes"
'Twas then a shy but fine young man, stepped out to my surprise.

O'er his shoulder was my dress - on his face, the broadest smile...
"Mi-lady, I must know your name, I've been here for awhile."
I stood in disbelief, he mesmerized me with his stare...
His eyes green as the meadow, traveled o'er my body bare.

'Twas if I'd lost my voice, I tried to speak but no sound came...
We stood there in the sunlight - face to face, but with no shame.
"I've been searching for so long," the words came softly from his lips,
as he helped me with my dress, I felt his trembling fingertips.

His hands then found my back, I quenched his thirst, he drank of me -
We fell in love at Willowfalls - beneath a willowtree...

Gen,

You have to e'mail me a map to this place...lol
This was very well written, such detail, of course envisioning your nakedness didn't hurt....lol

you have certainly found your niche with story poems.

All my love,
Jeffrey

Wo0o0o0o0 Ho0o0o0oo0!!!!!!

WHAT A WAY TO WAKE UP! =)

I was mesmerized by the beuatiful scenery you painted into my mind... and THEN HEEEELLOOO NURSE! =)

You know what this reminds me of?  There once was a video by Paula Abdul.... I used to be in love with her I swear.... what was the name of that song?????? I can't remember.

Through part of the video she is under a waterfal  OH YEAH!  "Promise of a New Day".. that was the song.... but anyway.. she looked so HOT with her hair all wet...

The image of you standing there glistening in the sun has got it beat hands down... but the wet hair thing has always been a feddish (I guess you'd call it that) of mine.

Once again.. THANK YOU!  Wonderful way to start the day off.  I usually spend like 30 minutes in a daze before I can really form complete thoughts, but you cut that down to a fraction of the time this morning. =)

P.S.
      I'm starting to wonder if I should invest in a set of green contacts. =)< !signature-->

I hesitate to ask if you've seen the cave on the property in Arkansas yet....   Perhaps I will have to show you where it is sometime.  You may find that it brings some peace to you to visit it.  In the meantime...this was beautiful.

Down to Willowfalls i did stroll
a peaceful place to ease your mind
when a spashing sound i did hear
and a lady's dress there to find

I gazed over to the water's edge
and what a lovely sight i did see
a lady poet with a body so bare
standing beneath a willowtree
~~~~~
pFF, really enjoyed your poem.  Such a creative and talented pen you have.
TerryW - - *blushing*  Thank you so much!
Jeffrey - - The geographical inspiration for this lies in Arkansas...the rest is in my mind.  Read on, to my reply to Robert, and you will understand.  Oh geesh...you saw me naked too???    I guess EVERYONE was there, huh?  No privacy I see!   So.....er....did you like what you saw?  (giggling)
Janet - - hehe  My niche' is showing?     I read that, and instantly thought of my crack!  LOL  Hey, thanks for the idea about the illustrated book.  I'm actually contemplating that now, as I also draw, and I know I could do some of these poems some real justice with illustration.  You're great girl!
WhiteNite - - ROFLMAO  Oh Davie boy!  You have me laughing SO hard...the thought of you waking up so quick, and sporting green contacts to boot!  hehehe  You're so funny man!  BTW,  I've just always had a thing for green eyes.  I even wore green contacts myself for a couple of years, but then had my RK surgery done.  That's the only thing I miss about having bad eyesight!  The perks of getting to choose my color!  LOL  Thanks for the giggle this morning.
Robert - - You mentioned the "cave" in Arkansas?  Which one?  hehehe  I dated a boy when I was 16...handsome young fellow.  He put me on the back of his ATV, and we went deep into the woods.  He took me to this place that took my breath away.  A waterfall there close to Posey Mountain which had a pool at the bottom.  We stayed there half the day, taking pictures, and falling in love.  Perhaps that's where my inspiration for this one came from...Little did I know that that paradise was so close to my very own home!  It was very well hidden though.  I'll never forget that day.  I love caves too !  You'll have to show me where that is.
Corinne - - *blushing*  Thank you!  I thought it was a little sensual myself!  LOL     Glad you liked!
What a truly magical scene you've painted, Gen.  Such light and lovely beauty, with a great sensual twist.  Another masterpiece to add to your list!
