Easy Remembering
~*Marge Tindal*~

Today you returned
to rest upon my cheek as a tear
After all this time
it caught me in amaze
As I reached up to brush you away
you clung to my fingertips
I caressed you
smiling with easy-remembering
at all the wonderful thoughts
you left with me
It was then I realized
that even though we aren't together
you were worth remembering
Somewhere I think the same song
is playing my memory for you
I just wanted to let you know
it's okay ...

Oh, sweet Marge.  How songs and scents and scenes can trigger memories!  Bittersweet the taste of tears...I think this is one of your best, Marge.

Honest .. it sneaked right up on me.
It was really a sweet surprise that
I was flooded with so many memories
of a super relationship.
The smiles outnumber the tears ...
Thanks, hon.
I already knew you would like it ...

LoneWolf~
It really was a pleasant experience once
the memories started flooding their way to my heart.
Thank you, I like the way it flowed to the page and am glad each person has found a memory in it.

Great feelings, Marge.

I am so deeply moved that I am committing a crime puting down whatever flows...same kind of thoughts...inspired by your poem...I don't even know if this is going to be any good...
-------------
My dear, if you want to leave,
Just leave the way you came,
like a wave
My dear, if going is what you wish,
Please go where you wish,
like a fish.

Precious friend, while you go,
I think you must know
That many times you will return,
With each tear-drop, my eyes that would churn.

Take care my dear friend,
I know not where this might end,
But one thing that is sure,
Forever I will care, I assure...

The songs that we sang,
The words that we spoke,
Memories from the past, bells that rang,
Feelings will sooth my heart, each stroke.

Take care my lovely friend,
You have made footprints in the sand
Remember you, I will always do,
Forever I will have visons of you...

Regards
Sudhir.

Marge, reading your poetry reminds me of how I feel about certain actors, directors,  singers and artists.  There are those that are so talented that I know I will never be disappointed with their work.  Your poetry brings a promise of delight, of warmth, of anticipation, and of emotion.  Welcome to the elite!

A tear so sweetly came to fall
From splendor’s wellspring of recall
And rested on a cheek of bliss
In quiet tender reminisce
A vestige of a bygone day
So tenderly was brushed away
And lay on finger’s ecstacy
In thoughts of teardrops shed for me

Marge, you did it again

I've just become a member here, and this was the first poem I read.  I'm writing this as the tears fall on my keyboard.  It spoke right to my heart, and reminded me of several poems I've written.  Thanks for letting me know I'm not in the boat alone!
