"you were worth remembering"...sometimes tears are welcome...especially when they are shed for someone special to us.   James

Sometimes those special memories bring a smile, sometimes a tear. This is beautifully touching, Marge!

So very glad that you enjoyed.

You are correct ... and I'm thankful

Marge,

Such bittersweet thoughts and memories expressed so well and in such a positive way.  I really liked this.

A tear so sweetly came to fall
From splendorís wellspring of recall
And rested on a cheek of bliss
In quiet tender reminisce
A vestige of a bygone day
So tenderly was brushed away
And lay on fingerís ecstacy
In thoughts of teardrops shed for me

Marge, you did it again
Love
Liz

This is a wonderful visual Marge, and so beautifully written. When we can remember our pasts with fondness and forgiveness, we are indeed the lucky ones.

Devina~
You make me glad I write !

Elizabeth, my friend~
A beautifully inspired response.
I love ya', gal !

Kit~
Caught in amazement still that such tender memories can return in the blink of an eye
and leave us with tender thoughts.
I still relish this moment of surprise.
Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed it.

I've just become a member here, and this was the first poem I read.  I'm writing this as the tears fall on my keyboard.  It spoke right to my heart, and reminded me of several poems I've written.  Thanks for letting me know I'm not in the boat alone!

Oh, hon ... you will find many here that sail in the same boat as you.
Welcome to our pond.
Thank you for your charming response.
Most of all ... I'm pleased it touched you.
