Poet please be gentle with my heart
For it is as fragile as the most delicate glass
Speak your words of love
     Caress my wounded heart
          Betray not my trust in thee

Hold me close always poet to your heart
Hold it in your heart with gentle hands
Pledge your love to me
     Cradle my gentle spirit
          Tell me I am your only love

Gentle poet share with me your heart
Give to me the love I have sought for so long
Don't forsake my love
     Cover my body with your spirit
          Open your hands, here's my heart

So beautifully said from the King of romance!
Another soft and tender poem from one who writes them so well.

Hi Sven,

This is truly beautiful, the king of romance I did not that is what they called you but from these words I can clearly see why you are the king.

Cerenity, thank you so much. . .again, though, I am not the King of Romance, but I will settle for being the Prince. . .

Corinne, thank you my friend. . .

Oh, Sven, I love this!  It's so gentle.  A tender plea from the perspective of someone who is afraid of being vulnerable.  This one really speaks to me.

 It matters not how strait the gate;
How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
