Forever In Your Heart

0 posted 2000-05-04 10:21 PM

'Twas A dream,
One of many colors and schemes,
That filled my day with thoughts,
Thoughts of our conversations,
And our in betweens,

Your words, your mischevious laughter,
How my mind has savored every word spoken,
Today, tomorrow, tonight, my mind will hold
them as memory tokens,

Words conveyed, deeply felt,
To make my mind ponder,
My heart to melt,

As we danced to conversations tune,
I closed my eyes and envisioned,
Every fleeting moment that ended to soon,
So My heart deeply listened,
As my face glistened,

I could see in my minds eye,
You and I,
A romantic spring night,
Italian boat ride with wine,
Beautiful view in sight,

Sunset on a warm, breezy spring evening,
Your hand interlocked inside mine,
Gently squeezing, like a heart beating, in perfect time,

During the boat ride across the lake,
You and I share our life stories,
Open our hearts, share our biggest mistakes,

Closer we become,
As the night moves on,
To dinner, A play,

You have a way,
How you take me on journeys without a car,
With you I feel I can reach the stars,

Go to the ends of the earth,
To mars,without lifting a finger,
How I want these thoughts to linger,

What is this magic, this mystery,
This chemistry I feel?
For there is something connecting us,
Something touchable, real,

I open my eyes,
To realize,
Across the distance,
To where you are,
I am here, you are there,
This dream is what we share,

Our souls now connect,
With no in betweens,
I feel you are real,
Our hearts express what the other heart means,

You have forever captivated me..."Once Upon A Dream"

One question is all I ask,
Will this dream forever be a dream?
Can it become real?
Don't let our moment pass,
Let us create at last,

A Dream we can touch and feel happily everafter!!!

RH - Ah, L'amour!  This is a wonderful poem...it made me sigh as I thought about how much it describes my Pamela and I - and also brought back memories of long-distance relationships of the past.  Thank you for sharing this beautiful work of art!

RomanticHeart,
Dear, you really do have a romantic heart!  I love your poem, and I felt every word.

One question is all I ask,
Will this dream forever be a dream?
Can it become real?
Don't let our moment pass,
Let us create at last,

A Dream we can touch and feel happily everafter!!!

I have a feeling you will get the answer that you want dear!

RH~
I think you asked two questions in the last stanza, not one, but hey, who's counting?
I liked "memory tokens" and "conversations tune". Keep taking those romantic journeys without a car, and write about those trips too. Happy Cinco de Mayo.
best regards,
bboog
