~Sanctuary Found In Me~

When your world becomes cruel and angry,
when your skies turn dark and gray ...
Always remember I'll be your shelter,
always know in me ... you have a kind place to stay.

Should your load become too heavy,
and you're troubled by the voices in your head ...
you need not retreat inside those walls,
gently lay your tired mind in my healing hands instead.

Find sanctuary ... in my open arms,
when it all gets too hard ... when it all becomes too much ...
Take my hand and come with me,
find safe refuge in my tender, caressing, touch.

My lips to offer quiet comfort,
let my mouth be your remedy ...
Soft kisses to close your eyes,
whispered desires to keep you company.

Let my shoulders take the burdens,
I'll carry the weight so that you might rest ...
Lay your weary body down next to mine,
I'll hold you while you sleep, your head on my forgiving breast.

With in me ... may you finally breathe,
while my body rocks you with a sensual lullaby ...
As you lift up to peaceful pleasures,
the only sound made ... will be our contented sighs.

Janet Marie

--------------
I know it's been a long road
To get these towns behind me and I
Will gladly reap what we may sow--
I am there for you ...
and you're there for me ...
Are you waiting for
Heart in hand
Woman and man
See me where I stand I am
Heart
Heart in hand
~vertical horizon~

J.M.* What a beautiful gift to give someone.
"Find sanctuary ... in my open arms"
first tender and then steamy    I like your style girl!!  Your subject must be pretty special to inspire such a magnificent piece of work...don't let that one go!!     **AWH's**

And what a great embrace it is... cool poem, I could use that safe refuge about now. =)  Grreat poem Jan.  Missed your work in my absence.

Janet...I'm sure that many a man in here would love to be in those arms, near those "forgiving" breasts.....    Er...I didn't say that.  Seriously, this is so tender and sincere, and very beautiful!  I too, liked the stanzas that Jeffrey highlighted...they seemed to "flow" exquisitely.  And your choice of words....wow.  Fine job here girl - If I were a guy, I'd nuzzle right in too!  ROFLMAO while blushing!     Now, off to find your other piece!!!!

Janet, pFF is so right about a man wanting to have those loving arms, the santuary of your embrace.  This is so well written~~~I believe it is a self portrait of yourself.
Wonderful writing from that very talented pen of yours.
