Listening to every heart

Silent Presence

Not in shadowy presence do you linger
but a slip-knot of love surrounds my fingers
so that I tap to you my message of light
and my psyche holds your image tight.

We have never met, you and I, but revel
in knowledge that our souls heard the bell
the commonness of lives, of souls shared as one
we have traveled before, yet we’ve only begun.

You are my silent presence, behind my mind’s eye,
if I have a thought, you say “ah, it is I
who put it there, for I’ve that thought too”
so I know what you think, yea, I know what you do.

Feel me now, as my soul reaches for you,
tenderly I would care to ease the pain in you,
know in your heart, my angels come to sing,
hold on tight to my soul’s heart that I would bring.

Be not afraid, for I will be alongside to carry,
helpmate of God, my soul will not tarry
be strong in conviction, strength will come to your soul,
sunrise, sunset, I’m in your Florida’s shoals.

Not in shadowy presence do you linger
but a slip-knot of love surrounds my fingers
so that I tap to you my message of light
and my psyche holds your image tight.

You so well describe the feelings in an online frienship. Wonderful word choices, and interesting imagery. Very nice work, sunshine.

Sunshine of the heart,

I liked this one immensely.

Particularly when you state -
We have never met, you and I, but revel
in knowledge that our souls heard the bell
the commonness of lives, of souls shared as one
we have traveled before, yet we’ve only begun.

If I may add,

May our friendship thus more marvel,
Let our thoughts move and travel,
Hope that all the world's mysteries unravel,
Plunging us both to a sublime level...

Many regards,
Sudhir.

 In any moment of decision,
The best thing you can do is the right thing,
The next-best thing is the wrong thing,
And the worst thing you can do is nothing.
- Theodore Roosevelt
